This notice explains how Rustic Budget Living collects and uses personal data in The Savvy Gift & Savings Planner. Rustic Budget Living is the data controller, meaning we decide how and why your data is used.

What we collect and why

• Account details (email, login credentials) — to create your account and sync your plans. Basis: contract.
• Your planner data (people, budgets, gifts, prices, cash-back amounts, photos) — to provide the Service and back it up. Basis: contract.
• Images and text you send to the AI helper — to generate gift ideas and read receipts or screenshots. Basis: contract.
• Usage and device data (IP address, browser, error logs) — for security, fraud prevention and fixing problems. Basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages — to help you. Basis: legitimate interests.

If you don't sign in, your planner stays on your device only.

Who we share it with

• Service providers who host the app, store backups and run AI features for us.
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for sales, subscriptions, payments, tax and invoicing.
• Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

We don't sell your personal data. Some providers may process data outside your country with appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. After you delete your account or stop using the Service, we delete or anonymise it within 90 days, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may access, correct, delete, restrict or export your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us through the Account page and we'll reply within one month.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and per-account data protections to keep your data safe.

Cookies and storage

We use only essential browser storage to keep you signed in and save your planner on your device. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
