Plan Christmas in October, Breathe in December
A gentle week-by-week rhythm so gifts, cards and cooking are handled long before the rush.
By Rustic Budget & Living
October: lists and limits
Finish your gift list and set a budget for each person. Jot down sizes, wish-list ideas and any shipping deadlines for family far away.
November: buy with a plan
Watch prices on the big-ticket items and buy when they drop. Handle anything that ships first, and grab wrapping supplies while shelves are full.
Early December: wrap and send
Wrap a few gifts each evening instead of all at once. Mail cards and packages early to beat the carrier crunch.
The last two weeks: enjoy it
Leave this stretch for baking, visiting and rest. Anything you forgot can be a small, simple gift — or a heartfelt note.
